Hello everyone! After becoming familiarised with the global Wikimedia community earlier this year, I got increasingly involved with Commons administration, first through encountering uploads out of project scope or violating copyrights while patrolling on other wikis, later by actively searching for such content, and would now like to request adminship. As a sysop, I plan to concentrate my work on the backlogs at speedy deletions and DRs, primarily focussing on uncontroversial ones of the latter, as a big part of the logs consists of files likely satisfying CSD (I, too, had initially been following this trend with my nominations!), but could also be of help with regards to translation administration and AbuseFilter, with which I have experience from already being a Meta admin and global AFH.

Since I am expecting this to be brought up in this discussion anyway, as far as User talk:1234qwer1234qwer4#File:Lindt Excellence 50% Zartbitter.jpg is concerned, my understanding of copyright has vastly improved since I uploaded the files in May 2020 so I am fully aware of my error, but I also appear to have misidentified the nature of the Flickr uploader, which, in fact, I later reminded myself to re-check, but ended up forgetting, resulting in a speedy deletion request being filed by a different user. Hence, I guarantee that misjudgement like this is not going to happen again, and can present proper attribution on uploads such as File:Barnstar of ping.svg and File:TeTeX.svg as an example.

With this, I am happy to hear your thoughts on my candidacy! 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 00:34, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Most of opposing votes refer to phrase "per A.Savin". =) As for me, I don't really know this user and don't see his "good activity" on Commons, Ru-Wiki or En-wiki. Other users, like A1Cafel, wrote the same. Pictogram-voting-question.svg Question You have more than 2000 edits in Abkhazian Wikipedia. Do you speak Abkhazian? Taivo (talk) 21:46, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed I do not, and the fact that it appears relatively high on CentralAuth if you sort by edit count might be misleading (though I do use Babel boxes on my global userpage), but since I had a user talk page on my watchlist where an issue about a category was brought up (in a language I speak), for the lack of a proper local community (and bot operators etc.) I decided to fix it myself using a tool. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 22:02, 20 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • A comment above (BMK's oppose) was refuted as "an exaggeration not to be taken seriously." Isn't that what Rod Hull has just been banned for (and that you advocated for)? Andy Dingley (talk) 08:56, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • IMO, this is obviously a joke. And nobody is attacked here. Yann (talk) 09:10, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • But editors are now being perma-banned for jokes. Andy Dingley (talk) 09:35, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Don't be daft, unlike the now foundation banned editor, 1234qwer did not threaten to kill someone ~TNT (she/they • talk) 17:04, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Of course not, but neither did Rod Hull make anything that was any credible sort of threat. Yet 1234qwer1234qwer4 advocated very strongly that Rod Hull should be (and was) banned on that basis, and that's why I don't want anyone with 1234qwer1234qwer4's judgement (let alone someone who themself makes the same exaggerated jokes) becoming an admin, and certainly not getting anywhere near a block button. Andy Dingley (talk) 14:34, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oh for goodness sake. Must we be completely humorless? The things behind these names are people, and in case you've never tried to talk about a Wikimedia project at a cocktail party, it doesn't go over well. We are the only ones we have that we can joke about this with. It's not a cardinal sin. GMGtalk 17:01, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ah, so we're going to equate a harmless joke about Wikipedia consensus (which, let's be honest, can really be ridiculous sometimes), to a death threat? You're correct that Rod's threat wasn't credible at all; but are we supposed to normalize such behaviour? Think carefully about the logic in your brain before spouting nonsensical opinions, please. pandakekok9 03:35, 24 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

There is no evidence of the claimed CC-BY-SA (and I don't know anything about TOO in the Philippines); however, since this is a government-owned broadcaster, {{PD-PhilippinesGov}} should apply 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 14:41, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
